First Tracks Ski Coaching is a ski school based in Courchevel, in the heart of the French Alps and the 3 Valleys ski area, the largest ski area in the world.
Founded in 2006 by Ashley Kay and François Boillot, the pair knew that they wanted to combine exceptional teaching and guiding with unrivalled customer experience. In 2023, Giuseppe Fracassi became a new partner within First Tracks. A great people person and networker, "Beppe" is an architect when he's not on the slopes, he's brought a lot of new ideas and energy to First Tracks.
All 3 partners share the belief that "small is beautiful" and have decided to focus on building strong lasting relationships rather than growth. With this in mind they all continue to teach and guide throughout the winter, hence maintaining strong relationships not only with First Tracks clients but also with the First Tracks Team of Instructors and Guides.
Why First Tracks? Our team of mountain guides and instructors have at their heart a passion for sharing their knowledge and experience of the mountains with those that visit.
This ethos is at the heart of providing our customers with a unique experience: making progress with technique alongside awakening a sense of adventure and respect for the mountain environment.
Who are we? Small is beautiful! Ashley and François have handpicked a small team of around 15 instructors and mountain guides, each of whom is not only fully qualified, but also has extensive experience in their discipline as well as a natural flair for coaching.
We specialise in private lessons, coaching and guiding for individuals, families, small groups of friends or corporate teams.
Our clients come from all abilities and all ages, and learn to take their skiing, snowboarding, ski touring or cross country skiing to the next level. We love showing you all the extras that are on offer in the mountains: ice climbing, heli-skiing, torchlit descents… Let us take you on your next adventure and make your holiday truly memorable!
Our playground : Since 2006 we have been offering coaching sessions in Courchevel, Méribel and La Tania. First Tracks Ski Coaching has been the official ski school of the ESI (Ecole de ski Internationale) since 2010.
Despite knowing the Three Valleys like the backs of their hands, our guides and instructors also love to show you around the most famous ski resorts in the French Alps: Megève, Val d’Isère, Valmorel, Saint-Martin de Belleville, Val Thorens… Or why not try a Ski Safari and see how the skiing is over the border in Switzerland or Italy? If your dream ski holiday lies further afield, we’ll take you to South America or Asia. The world is your oyster!
