Located in Courchevel and the internationally renowned ski area "The 3 Valleys" in the French Alps, First Tracks Ski Coaching ESI specialises in private ski and snowboard lessons and private guiding for all levels and all ages. We believe that "small is beautiful" and for us, our "family-size" team of fully qualified instructors and mountain guides, help ensure a caring personalised service for our clients. We cater for everyone from complete beginners to experienced experts, from toddlers to older skiers. Specialists in private lessons in Courchevel (Courchevel 1850, Courchevel Moriond, Courchevel Village, Le Praz, La Tania) we also work out of all areas of our neighbouring resort; Méribel.

Who are we?

Established in 2006, First Tracks Ski Coaching ESI, is a team of around 17 ski instructors, 5 snowboard instructors and 2 mountain guides - all fully qualified with years of experience. We have built a strong reputation due to the emphasis that we place on customer satisfaction. Our Team is composed of the following nationalities; French, Italian and British. Our instructors and guides all speak at least 2 languages and often more.

We specialise in private lessons and private guiding for individuals, families, friends, small groups, corporate groups...

We teach skiing, snowboard, freestyle, ski touring, télémark, cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, off-piste / backcountry, ice climbing etc.

    Alan is in his element in the mountains, whether it's hiking up, mountain biking or skiing down. Fun with kids and a patient confidence builder.

    A big smile and lots of energy, Annarosa is fun to ski with and especially great with kids and teenagers.
  • Ashley - Ski & Snowboard

    Co-founder of First Tracks, Ashley is a big believer that teaching and learning are most effective when they're fun, no matter what the level or age!
  • Elena P. - Ski

    Having ski raced to high levels, Elena's a lovely skier to follow and a great instructor for all levels.
  • Emmanuelle - Ski, Snowboard & Ski-Mojo

    Manue is a fun and experienced instructor, in the summer months, an ex-World Barefoot Champion, she coaches water-skiing and wakeboarding on Lake Annecy!

    Co-founder of First Tracks, François is one of our best confidence builders for the more, nervous skier, François is a man of many talents!

    A dedicated instructor and coach, François also specialises in the accompanied testing of the Ski-Mojo exoskeleton.
  • Hervé - Ski

    Previously a professional boot fitter, now an experienced instructor with a great sense of humour, Hervé knows many of the hidden gems of the 3 Valleys.
  • Mannie - Ski

    Mannie grew up skiing in Northern Italy and his enthusiasm for the sport is infectious, he's a bundle of fun both on and off the slopes.

    For someone who's 9 - 5 is climbing the Mont Blanc, you can be sure you'll be in safe hands with Nicolas our Mountain Guide, no matter where you are on the slopes.!

    An essential part of our team, efficiently organizing client requests and carefully selecting the most suitable instructor, all with a big smile, great attitude and a cup of Yorkshire tea!

    Our very own ecological expert, during COVID, Clément has been busy building his very own sustainable dream home in Normandy! A great sense of humous and fun to ski with.

    Fun loving and great with kids, Danila has a funky collection of caps and hats!

    A fitness enthusiast, Elena makes a point of doing at least one Iron Man race each year, as you can guess, she's very fit! One of our most all round instructors.

    One of the pioneers of Meribel, we are very proud to have Fred on our team. It's not always easy to book him, a professional photographer, he's often behind a camera lense or piloting a drone!
  • Jeremy - Ski, Freestyle & Snowboard

    Reliable and safe, Jeremy is not a risk taker, but when he's skiing for himself, few of us, if any, can keep up with him. He's fast, very fast!
  • Kathy - Ski

    A big smile and one of the most amazing skiers you'll see on the slopes (she did compete in 3 Olympics for France!). Outside of the winter, Kathy is a locally renowned osteopath.
  • Marion - Ski

    Specialising in working with kids, a local friendly face of Courchevel, Marion is fab fun, experienced and caring.
  • Mattia - Snowboard & Freestyle

    Passionate about snowboard and freestyle, whenever he's not working with clients, you'll find Mattia in the snowpark getting seriously BIG air.
  • Lionel - Guide de haute montagne

    As well as a fully qualified mountain guide, Lionel is also a professional fireman and oversees mountain rescues. So when we say, "You'll be in safe hands", it's quite an understatement!
  • Arnaud - Ski

    Years of experience instructing and guiding in the winter whilst sailing professionally in the summer, Arnaud is now designing and overseeing the production of sailing yachts!
  • Giuseppe AKA Beppe - Ski

    From Naples in Southern Italy, we really think that in a past life he was one of the Godfathers, Beppe is extremely popular and well connected! As well as being an amazing experienced instructor, he's great fun to be with.

Courchevel la Tania - 1400m - If budget's an important consideration then sitting between the other rersorts of Courchevel and Méribel, La Tania delivers in value for money, another good choice for families. Slopes mainly suited to intermediate levels, if you have beginners in your group lessons are a must!
