Levels

Not sure of your level? No problem. First Tracks offers courses for the lower level skiers, whether you are just beginning of if you already have a little experience. Please refer to the details below to establish your level.


ADULTS


Level 0 - For people who have never skied before. Learning to balance on skis, and getting to grips with your equipment. You will learn basic turns, how to stop, and how to use a simple lift.

Level 1 - Green & Blue Slopes. For those who have skied before and are relatively comfortable on green runs. This level will help you improve your balance and technique, boosting your confidence and reducing fatigue. You will master the elementary turn on green and blue runs and progress to simple parallel turns.

Level 2 - Green & Blue Slopes. For those who can ski parallel and are confident on easy slopes. This level will help you improve your balance and technique, boosting your confidence and reducing fatigue. Mastering the parallel turn.

Level 3 - Blue and Red slopes and when the conditions are right you will probably conquer a black or two!

 
 
CHILDREN

Mini Tracks - For children just starting out. Ages 4-6. Needing lots of help and attention. This is a small group of only 2 - 5 children.

Beginner - Learning the basics and understanding mountain safety. Working on skills such as snowplough, and basic turns, and stops.

Crystal (1) - For ages 7 and up. Learning the basics of skiing and understanding mountain safety. Learning skills such as walking on skis, snowplough turns, and how to ski green runs.

Bronze (2)
- For those who already know the basics and wish to build on their knowledge of skiing, nature, alpine wildlife, and mountain safety. Focusing on skills such as side slipping, progressing from snowplough turns to parallel turns, and skiing blue and green runs.


Silver (3) -

 

 

Never fear, with group lessons should you find yourself in the wrong level, there is a level check on the first day of classes.

Your instructor will transfer you into the right class.
